Google’s machine learning and robotics efforts to help human being

  1. Google is one of the most powerful technology company in the world. No doubt in that.They are known for Search and advertisement business (Google Adwords & Adsense) in their beginning stage.
  2. Now, we all know  Google’s products like Gmail, Google Drive, Google+, Google Nexus phone and tablets, Chrome Cast, Chromebook, Chromebox, Chrome OS, Android OS, Google play Services, wait.. did I said android? Yes, now the founder and former head of Android division is  the new head of Robotics division in Google.

Asimov’s three laws of Robotics are as follows;

  1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

  2. A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

  3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

  1. Google acquired 9 robotics companies in December 2013.All the companies it acquired are working under Google X Division which is managed under Google Co-founder Sergey Brin and scientist Astro Teller .

  2. “What drives the Google founders are an acute understanding of the possibilities that long-term developments in information technology have deposited in mankind’s lap. Computing power has been doubling every 18 months since 1956. Bandwidth has been tripled and electronic storage capacity has been quadrupling every year. Put those trends together and the only reasonable inference is that our assumptions about what networked machines can and cannot do need urgently to be updated” as per The Guardian

  3. Google processing the information gathered from our web surfing habits and web search habits to predict what we want in the future with their machine learning technology.

  4. Google’s other efforts including Google Glass, Internet broadcasting balloons, self-driving cars and much more are in the effort of helping human to communicate and transport in much safer and faster way.

  5. iRobot  the movie is coming to my mind while thinking about Google’s Effort in Robotics. We hope for the best. Thank you Google!
